The Nuts is Red's second album; his first release on First Word. Red's first release, Seen, a track made entirely from scratching, brought him acclaim from DJ Yoda, BBC Radio1's Huw Stephens and legendary scratch pioneer DJ D-Styles. The video of Red showcasing his innovative method of tune creation became a YouTube hit, and saw him perform live all over the country. His follow up album, Fingerprints, was similarly well received amongst artists, peers and press, garnering critical acclaim from Hip Hop Connection, Q Magazine and The Independent, and saw him tour the UK twice. First Word are proud to present Red's second album, The Nuts, which has been gathering dust on his hard drive for the past few years. The album sees him focus on his signature style of richly melodic and soulful hip hop beats, with the title track The Nuts showing a particularly funky and mischievous side.
